We offer a wide range of gentle dental care options here at our Georgia practice. From periodontal therapy to state-of-the-art crowns and bridges, Dr. Kolpakov and his staff are ready to meet your dental needs in a caring and comfortable environment. Preventive Care
We put a strong emphasis on preventive dental care. After all, keeping your own teeth is the best long-term dental option. And while daily brushing and flossing are excellent for maintaining healthy teeth and gums between office visits, a healthy mouth requires routine general and preventive care from your dentist. At our practice, we offer patients in the Atlanta area comprehensive general dentistry and preventive dental care, including routine exams and cleanings, fluoride treatments, and more. Schedule a cleaning at our practice to help keep your smile strong, healthy, and gorgeous!

Root Canal (Endodontic) Treatment

Root canal (endodontic) treatment is an important general dentistry procedure that can save a tooth that is too deeply infected or damaged to be treated by other means. A deep infection is one that has reached the dental pulp at the center of the tooth. This long strand of pulp reaches down into the root and supplies nerves and nutrients to the tooth. If the pulp becomes infected, it can cause a severe toothache and the only way to save the tooth is to perform root canal treatment.
Root canal treatment is performed under anesthesia to ensure your comfort, and involves drilling a small hole into the tooth so that the infected pulp can be removed. A tooth that has undergone root canal treatment becomes weakened, making it vulnerable to further damage unless protected by a restoration. At our office, we typically place a natural-looking and durable porcelain crown on a tooth after root canal treatment. Difficult cases with multiple and curved canals might be refered to an endodontist - a dentist, who has advanced training in the field of root canal treatments.

Tooth-Colored Fillings
Say goodbye to silver-toothed smiles! Routine fillings can now be applied in a way that produces extremely natural-looking results. Modern composite fillings use glass or quartz filler instead of alloy, which allows Dr. Kolpakov to fill cavities with a tooth-colored resin. Not only do our tooth-colored fillings look great, they are also durable and resistant to fracture, making for a happier smile and a healthier bite!

Amalgam Filling Removal
Traditional silver fillings, also known as amalgam or mercury fillings, have been used to treat tooth decay for more than a hundred years. Modern advances in technology, however, have rendered silver fillings out of date. These types of fillings can cause teeth to crack and split after long periods of time. Dr. Kolpakov can safely remove old and failed mercury fillings and replace them with natural-looking tooth-colored fillings. If you have old, metal fillings, we invite you to join the dental community in saying goodbye to the silver-toothed smile!

Crowns and Bridges
The innovative, advanced technology of Bruxzir crowns and bridges offers a durable, natural-looking alternative to that of yesterday’s metal crowns. With Bruxzir , Dr. Kolpakov can give you a long-lasting crown that's healthier for your gums. Bruxzir crowns are made from high strength zirconia ceramics, that has proven to be resistant to bacteria and plaque.

Periodontal Therapy
Taking care of your gums is just as important as taking care of your teeth. Gum disease can lead to inflammation, bleeding, and sometimes tooth extraction. Moreover, studies show that gum disease may be linked to heart attack, diabetes, stroke, problem pregnancies, and a host of other life-threatening ailments. Gingivitis, the early stage of gum disease, is generally caused by bacteria in plaque that infects the soft tissue of the gums. However, through early detection and regular professional teeth cleanings, Dr. Kolpakov can dramatically reduce the effects of periodontal disease. With antibiotics and good oral hygiene, the fight against gum disease can be fought and won.
